Drivemocion EX Series LED Car Sign
Price: $29.99 at thinkgeek.com
I think this is a creative way to show how you really feel when you’re driving. This little digital sign is designed to hang in the back window of a vehicle and will display up to 16 different messages and faces. It is remote controlled and can be used to tell tailgaters that they are too close, apologize if you accidentally cut someone off in traffic, and even tell someone to have a nice day. It runs off of 4 AA batteries and is supposed to last about 4 months. The downfall is that some state laws don’t allow this device to be used.
MiLi IPhone Projector
Price: $349.99 at thinkgeek.com
Granted, this little gadget will only work if you already own an iPhone, but I had to mention it anyway. This is a prime example of how advanced technology has become over the years. It’s an LED projector that will play a video or movie directly from the iPhone. Even though it is small, this projector can display images on the wall and make them up to 70 inches wide. There is even a build in speaker that adds to the sound capabilities of the iPhone.
Kube Tiny MP3 Player
Price: $34.99 at thinkgeek.com
I love just about anything to do with music, so I had to add this to my list when I came across it. I couldn’t believe it when I saw that this tiny cube holds up to 8,000 songs. I also liked the variety of colors that it is available in: pink, green, yellow, black, and white. There is a Micro SD card that holds 2GB of data that comes with this miniature device and the built-in batteries are rechargeable. This MP3 player will play songs for up to 6 hours on a single charge and it only takes an hour to charge.
Kindle Wireless Reading Device by Amazon
Price: $189.00 at amazon.com
I enjoy reading when I get a chance, but can’t always make it to the library during the times it is open. The Kindle is as thin as a magazine, is lighter in weight than the average paperback book, and is wireless. This device basically serves as a library. It can hold around 1,500 books and is able to be read without a glare, a feature which allows for easy reading in bright sunlight. If the wireless is being used, reading time is around a week. This time doubles if the wireless is turned off. Not only can the Kindle be used for reading books, but also professional and personal documents. Even small print or graphics can be zoomed in on for a closer look.
Nintendo DS Lite
Price: $129.99 at amazon.com
Nintendo has been around for quite a while and they seem to be creating better game systems all the time. The Nintendo DS Lite not only plays games, but it also has a port for game paks for Game Boy Advance. This device also has Wi-Fi connection so friends can play games and chat, no matter where they are located in the world. The lower portion of the screen offers touch-screen technology. The best part is that I can play this for nearly 19 hours on a single charge. This is perfect for making the time pass faster when sitting at the airport.
IPod Touch 32GB
Price: $299.00 at store.apple.com
Having a 32GB capacity means that this little device can hold 7,000 songs or up to 40 hours of video. It’s great for playing games on, surfing the web, and create personal mixes within your music library. The display screen measures 3.5 inches and the multi-touch screen enables all the files to be scanned quickly. When it comes to web capabilities, there are plenty on this iPod. There is a keyboard that predicts what is going to be written and can even make corrections as the words are being typed. This little machine is almost to smart for its own good.
Digital Rebel XSi by Canon
Price: $685.00 at amazon.com
Even though this camera has been on the market for a couple of years, it is still one of the top selling versions. I like being able to take pictures that allow me the option to have them turned into poster-sized prints, without having them turn out all blurry. The 12.2 megapixels provide great clarity in detail for high quality pictures. The 3 inch LCD display provides plenty of screen space to view pictures taken and to show your friends as well. There is a variety of shooting modes and exposure controls that can be chosen from for taking the best pictures possible. For as much as this camera can do, I expected it to weigh a lot more than 1.1 pounds!
Alienware M17x by DELL
**
Price:** $1,799 at dell.com
I personally think this one of the most amazing laptops on today’s market. This is the ultimate computer for gamers, due to the speedy processor, dynamic graphics, and the seven different ports for connecting to a variety of external devices. This particular model has a 17 inch screen and a 2.0 megapixel webcam with a digital microphone. I really liked the flat black color with red accents. It is definitely not a typical laptop.
While I’d love to have one of each of the 8 cool electronic devices described above, I’ll have to simply read about most of them. Do you have an electronic device that caught your eye? Is there one you already have that you’d like to recommend to others? Please share!
